WisconsinEye seeks detail-oriented multi-tasker to maintain wiseye.org and other online services at nonprofit, privately funded public affairs network. WisconsinEye presents independent statewide view of public policy discussion and civic and cultural activities on cable and Internet, beginning with nonpartisan, gavel-to-gavel coverage of state government in Madison.
Responsibilities:
· Daily website maintenance, including home page and other sitewide updating
· Copy writing and editing of program summaries, programming archive and video database
· Build new web pages using existing templates and other low-level development tasks
· Work with management and outside developers to evolve website, add new online services
· Produce daily e-schedule newsletter
· Support online DVD sales
· Other duties as assigned, including production assistant duties as needed
Qualifications:
· Attention to detail, accuracy and grammatical correctness a must
· Strong organizational skills required
· Intermediate HTML and CSS experience using Dreamweaver
· Proficiency with Photoshop
· Comfortable with both Mac and PC platforms
· Knowledge of state government
· Commitment to customer service
· Communication and teamwork skills
· Comfort working in fast-paced, fluid news production environment
· Availability to work non-traditional hours a plus
