WISCAPE: The Trillion-Dollar Question: Reinventing Student Financial Aid for the 21st Century

On November 12, 2013, Wisconsin Center for the Advancement of Postsecondary Education (WISCAPE) hosted The Trillion-Dollar Question: Reinventing Student Financial Aid for the 21st Century on the UW-Madison campus. Andrew Kelly, director of the Center for Higher Education Reform at the American Enterprise Institute, and WISCAPE Senior Scholar Sara Goldrick-Rab, associate professor of educational policy studies and sociology, presented new research on financial aid reform as well as the need to move past "tinkering" with financial aid policies and start to fundamentally rethink the troubled financial aid system that serves today’s students.
