On May 31, 2012, Dane County Executive Joe Parisi, joined by representatives from Wisconsin Counties Association, Wisconsin Council of Children and Families, state lawmakers, and other private partners, held a news conference at the state Capitol to call for an immediate suspension of state efforts to privatize the Wisconsin Works (W-2) program.
