Common Cause in Wisconsin sponsored a panel discussion at the University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan entitled, “What Ever Happened to Good Government in Wisconsin?” on March 19, 2012 and discussed the U.S. Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision and its affect on Wisconsin, redistricting, voter ID, public financing, appointment vs. election of Supreme Court justices and the disclosure of interest-group spending on ads. Panelists included: Calvin Potter, former Representative and State Senator (D-Sheboygan): Mary Lynne Donohue, attorney and past president of the Wisconsin Academy Board; Devin LeMahieu, Sheboygan County Supervisor and Republican candidate for the 26th Assembly District; Charles Windsor, president of Windsor Industries, Inc.; and Libertarian Jay Heck, executive director, Common Cause in Wisconsin. The moderator for the event was Rick Dodgson, history professor, Lakeland College.
