01.11.12 | Corner Table: Northern Wisconsin

At a Jan. 11 Corner Table discussion with three northern Wisconsin journalists, there was a lot to discuss: How is the region's tourism-and-timber economy recovering from the recession? Has the Gogebic mine proposal split Iron and Ashland counties, dividing those who say hundreds of jobs could be created and those worried about polluted groundwaters? How popular is Republican Gov. Scott Walker, who opponents want recalled? The panelists for the show taped in Hurley were Andrew Broman, managing editor of ashlandcurrent.com; Danielle Kaeding, manager of Northland College's Radio Station WRNC, and Wisconsin Public Radio Reporter Mike Simonson, who is based in Superior.
