Bright Ideas from the Green Chair is set in the home office of entrepreneur and philanthropist John Noel.  Program guests have the honor of sitting in the time-worn green leather chair that, for years, was located in the downtown Stevens Point office of public relations guru Bob Williams.

Dr. Susan Turney, CEO of Marshfield Clinic Health System, discusses the state of rural health care in the December episode of “Bright Ideas from the Green Chair.”
Turney, who was born in Mellen in Ashland County, returned to her rural roots to lead Marshfield Clinic forward as one of the largest private, multispecialty group practices in the United States.
Serving a substantial rural population, MCHS employs physicians in 86 specialties and subspecialties in more than 50 Wisconsin locations. From the Green Chair, Dr. Turney discusses the challenge of delivering high quality, affordable, seamless health care to what she describes as a client population that is “poorer, older and sicker” than elsewhere in Wisconsin.
