Position Availability: Immediate Opening
WisconsinEye seeks a highly motivated supervising technical director for a growing statewide public affairs network. As digital video distribution methods continue to evolve, WisconsinEye seeks an experienced, entrepreneurial professional to oversee the network's technical operations and relationships with outside vendor/partners.
WisconsinEye's production architecture integrates multiple systems (Crispin Automation and Harmonic Omneon Systems), and utilization of Windows Server 2008 and Digital Rapids encoders. Complimenting technical credentials, the candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects, delegate time-sensitive jobs, cooperate and share in program management/scheduling responsibilities. Required: proven teamwork and leadership skills, troubleshooting on aforementioned systems, desktop support for PC and Apple products, and background in database management required for archiving video footage and managing digital content. Extensive knowledge of video codecs.
Well-qualified candidate will also have a base of experience in video production, specifically single-camera field experience, as well as multi-camera studio experience. Nonlinear video editing experience using Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Elements. DVD Creation experience using Adobe Premiere Elements. Knowledge of FTP servers. Candidate must have ability to work independently and in high-pressure situations.
This is a salaried position, with health insurance and 401K after probation period. Generally, 8:30am-5pm, M-F, but with non-traditional hours as needed.
